pop charger is a short ram intake. no worries for getting hydrolocked since it doesnt go to the floor like a cai. but it does get heat soaked being so close to the engine.

Get a Z-tube and and drop in K&N filter and you are good to go. Don't worry about intakes so much... save up for the TT!

actually, if you revally want to change your intake just throw the extra bucks into a mrev2 (you have a 2007 with the revup engine I believe). It'll make way more difference than any intake and you can still use it when you go FI. That, and what I said before are your best bets for now.

I dont believe i have the rev-up engine. I read another post, that the 2007 G35 Sedan is rev-up but not the Coupe. But ill look into the mrev2.

CAI is a generic acronym for Cold Air Intake, of which the JWT Pop Charger is one example. I happen to have a Stillen CAI. Your 07 coupe is revup if it has a manual transmission, non-revup if it is AT.

I just sold my jwt popcharger/heatshield and aluminum Z1 motorsports Z tube, not because it was bad, but because I no that the stock setup with a quality drop in filter is better. All I need now is the stillen tube or Z tube and I will be happy.
