Forced Induction exhaust...

I'm wanting to get exhaust for my G soon. I have been looking at everyones posts about which ones they think are best, but what about for turbo or supercharged applications? I'm planning on getting the Turbonetics single turbo kit when it comes out in February so I will want an exhaust that will work well with that... Any suggestions?

I'm basically in the same situation. I have the stock exhaust but everything else is aftermarket. I am thinking of going with a Ypipe, true duals and as big of a pipe I can get. The engine will have lots of exhaust so I want to have as big as pipe as possible. The only thing to consider is the bigger the pipe the less boost you will create because backpressure will suffer. Not necesarrily a big deal though!

How would you have a y pipe and true duals at the same time?

Re: Forced Induction exhaust...

if you get true duals, you delete the y-pipe... the dual piping starts at the cats. also if you want to go turbo, you should go with at least a 3" pipe. true dual would be ideal, maybe at 2.5" diameter for each pipe, but i wouldn't take it as far as true dual 3" pipes. it depends on what size of turbo you want (smaller turbos spool up faster), and what kind of boost psi you want to run. just a suggestion.

You would be replaceing the Y pipe with an H pipe or something similar! I guess if you think about it to go with true duals you would have to get rid of the Y pipe. It would be very hard to keep it and have two pipes!

Greddy Evo II should be a good option.

Re: Forced Induction exhaust...

I'm very frustrated with shopping for an exhaust. I can't find very much information at all. I can't find pipe sizes, weight, etc... on hardly any exhaust. I've checked out both manufactuer and distributor sites. I'm basically to the point now that if a manufactuer won't release the important information about the exhaust then I won't buy it.

custom true dual exhaust with tips/resonators of your choice... i like the idea of custom exhausts because they are just that... custom. You can pick out cans that you want or if you even want em. I was thinking of going with true duals with just resonators on each pipe for a while. Now' im thinking of going with true duals with apexi n1 tips
