Injen Cold Air Intake CHECK ENGINE light 04 Coupe

Hey guys, I installed a Injen Cold Air Intake on my 2004 G35 Coupe. Sometimes it happens to turn my Check Engine light on for a few days and then it will turn off. I did some research and some people said it was due to the Mass Airflow Sensor (MAF). The stock intake is not callibrated to take in as much air as the Injen one takes in so therefor the sensor that connects to the new Injen Intake senses too much air flowing into the system and sets off the check engine light. I'm not positive this is true but it makes sense and I haven't been able to find out any other cause. I was wondering if anyone has this problem and/or has a fix for it. Not sure there is really a fix, I just ignore it and everything seems fine but I would love it for the stupid little light not to come on anymore.

An intake shouldn't throw any codes. You would have better chances of finding the problem if you scanned the code next time it shows up. Sounds like your Maf is messed up most likely. It's probably a good idea to check that everything is installed properly too.

I also just installed and injen on my 06 coupe and it is showing the service engine soo light???... I heard the engine goes through a process of adapting to the intake and it only takes a couple days... but i wanna be sure... Any luck with this solution?

I;ve heard of people getting the code due to starting the car prior to installing the sensor. Try clearing the code and then drive the car for about 40 miles. That should be long enough for the ECU to run its tests. If you continue to get errors make sure that the sensor is properly mounted(not backwards)

im wondering, after installing my Injen intake on my 03 G35 sedan, and my sensor light came on. But most importantly, i have a huge loss of power and my engine is shaking pretty bad. Now during the install, i also changed out my spark plugs. I went with the exact ones and everything seemed to go pretty smooth during the install. i even changed out my spark plug boots. Still nothing worked. all my cabling seems to be installed correct and doesnt look to have any damage at the connectors.

im stuck and wondering if anyone has had the same kinda issues.

It seem like your number 4 and 6 spark plug wires are crossed and trust me it might not look that way!
