Used MD Spacer Gasket and Bolt Question

I have an 06 6MT (revup) Coupe and don't have $780 laying around for an MREV2 plus ISO therm spacer. So I'm going the DIY / used part route. I have a non-revup plenum that I did some mild porting based on the DIY thread on my350z, and picked up a used MD 5/16" spacer today.

One of the gaskets on the spacer is torn, can I just use the OEM gasket on that side or do I need a replacement paper type?

It also didn't come with any bolts, the sticky has the sizes it needs, but what can I use for the 6 posts in the middle?

If the original gasket on the spacer is damaged it may not seal properly even if a stock gasket is laid on top of it.

We have the spacer bolt kits for sale on our website. It comes with all new bolts, washers, locktite and the necessary internal supports. If you purchase the 5/16" spacer bolt pack we can include a new replacement gaskets for your spacer.

When you place your order on the website, just refer to this post in the comment section of the website shopping cart and we will include the gasket at no extra charge.

Dang, doesn't look like I'll be installing it this weekend then Drill is next weekend, so will have to wait longer. Placing an order now so I'm not running around looking for bolts and gaskets though.

But just to clarify, the MD spacer needs the paper gaskets? I was going to remove the torn gasket and use oem like: lower plenum | md gasket | spacer | oem gasket | upper plenum

You think that would still leak? Was NOT going to go ...spacer | torn MD gasket | oem gasket | upper

At a bare minimum you will need the 6 center posts - for strength as well as proper seal.

You could remove the gasket but you would want a stock gasket on both sides. The gasket that Tony puts on is a better option for this application.

Alternatively, you could even use RTV silicone and it will seal up very nicely.

Yes, for the proper height relative to the internal supports, you need the rubberized felt gaskets that come with the MD spacer.

The rubberized felt gaskets are 1/32" thick for both the top and bottom and are a dimensional requirement for proper fitment relative to the internal supports. The top and bottom stack together for 1/16" added height on the spacer.
