Think this is a good buy??

Hey guys. I'm a noob who just bought my first g. I've been doing a bunch of research on exhaust and headers, and I found this on ebay. Anyone have any idea on if it would be a good buy or not?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Exhau...Q5fAccessories

Any input would be great. Thanks in advance for all the advice!

Not a good buy. Do more research on this forum, not eBay.

What are your goals? Do you want high-quality parts that have been proven to give gains, or do you just want to slap as much aftermarket junk on your car as possible for a low price?

The best piece of advice I can give you is...There is no such thing as cheap, high quality/high performance parts for this car. Getting headers, test pipes, and a full cat-back exhaust for $620 should make you question the quality of parts you're getting.

All that being said, here's a little help.

1) Forget the headers...high installation cost/trouble for minimal gains.
2) Do look into a plenum spacer and (if you have a 6MT) the MREV2 from Motordyne
3) Do look into ART pipes from Motordyne or high flow cats from Fast Intentions or Berk.
4) Do look into cat-back exhausts from Motordyne, Fast Intentions, and HKS.

I don't really care for making it faster, it's already a pretty quick car. Plus, I've got my r1 for speed What I do care about is having a quality exhaust note. The only plans I have as far as performace is exhaust, intake, and tune. Everything else I am doing for the looks. I have done a lot of research on here, I just went through eBay to get an idea of prices and came across that.

Motordyne is one of the sexiest sounding exhaust notes for the G, hands down.

Unfortunately like has been mentioned before, you really have to pay to play.

Sound is subjective...everyone likes something different.

A good start would be here: Aftermarket Coupe Exhaust Compilation

Very true, I totally agree with this & your previous post but would add ARK Grip to list of great sounding exhausts.
Has a very deep throaty sound when paired up with HFCs.

+100000000. you'll be lucky to get headers for $620 alone. do alot of research man as they are the top quality companies for aftermarket g35 parts
