Remove Cat For Downpipe ?

hi first of all sorry for my english im from quebec ... yeah ok lets talk about my G .... i have a cat that is dieing i can hear noise inside of it ... soo yeah i were thinking about removiing them and installing downpipe instead of paying 1200$ for a jobber cat .. soo what do you all think about it ? does it will cause something to the engine if i do it? and if i should change it what kind should i take ? megan ? magnaflow ? i dont really know :S and do i need a gage to check the airflow or the gaz mix ??

Many people do it for power. The aftermarket name are test pipes. Make sure you get a set with defoulers, otherwise your downstream o2 sensor will not read correctly to your ECU and throw a code (known as a CEL or check engine light)

thanks for the answer do you have any name of compagny that came into your head so you can tell me some that build it ? and around what price ? cuz i found donwpipe for 80$ ? is that a joke ?

Test pipes can be sold for that cheap, but they are likely non-name brand and likely are unresonated and will cause a lot of rasp.

I would get Fast Intentions resonated test pipes. or if you want the most power check out motordyne's ART pipes. they are a lot more expensive than regular test pipes but give low end torque.
