Upper manifold plus spacers?

Just curious if there would be any benefit from running both the Kinetix composite upper manifold with a Motordyne 5/16ths Iso spacer. Also considering the AAM throttle body spacer. Would all this together be a good idea or a waste?

You won't see any benefit from adding a spacer to an aftermarket plenum.

I just installed a K&N CAI and a Motordyne 5/16ths Iso spacer. When I start the engine and let it idle, it is inconsistent and idles very low (700-600 RPMs). A little more information that might help out an outside diagnosis is that when I took the plenum upper manifold off, the existing gasket bent where it connected to the intake manifold collector cover. So, I took the outer part of the gasket off. I had advise that is won't make a difference because the spacer is the new gasket essentially. I can't help but think that might be my problem. Any ideas would be awesome. Thanks

Nice avatar Marcus trying HDR now? Do you have those pics posted anywhere?

OP I used to have the kinetix V5 with a 5/16 spacer. I don't know if I got ant gains from it, but you will have add to the support in the plenum to take the extra space from the spacer.

Tony(MD) tried this on my car yrs ago and you can actually see the plenum flex because the support is not touching because of the spacer.

If you have a revup just get a MREV 2 also to complete your intake.

650 RPM with a variation of + or - 50 is the proper idle for our cars (so, in the range of 600-700). If your idle was something else before then it wasn't set right.
