Solution to destroying Y pipe flexible couplings

I have been through too many Y pipe flexible couplings. Even before I modded they were scraping. I now have ART pipes, an XYZ and am 2" lowered on coil overs and I go through them like M&Ms.

The ones I installed a month ago need to be replaced again.

Anyone have a solution?

My GTspec 4point chasis brace works really well at protecting my LTH merge collector and Y pipe flex coupling.

Solved the flex issue by removing them.

gabe, do you scrape on every speed bump with the midbrace? I put it on yesterday and it seems to hit ants.

I got it used so already scratched.

GCSPEC Midbrace

New exhaust went in. The AP Ti was just tooooo loud.

Came home and wired the cutout.

Cutout closed.

Cutout open.

Switch for cutout.

Nice exhaust. Is it quieter than your previous one? I like that cutout switch.

I scrape a bit but it saved my exhaust a lot of times. I am dropped 1.5" all around maybe not as much as you. I've had mine on for over two years now. I will take a pic of it when I get my car back but the flex on mine are still in very good condition.

It is 50% quieter than it was when I got the car with two small cats welded together and stock exhaust.

In my Wife's words: "It ALMOST sounds like a normal car" She does not know about the cutout which when open at wot sounds like a semi air brake.

I am not dropped far, don't know how far compared to stock. These tires are 18/265/35s maybe you can guesstimate how low I am.

I scraped pretty badly on Espeliers and stock everything else before I touched it.
