Y pipe and piecing together exhaust questions.
Hey guys, i started off with a tanabe Y-back exhaust, with an HR Y pipe, and stock cats. I had a little rasp and I think it was coming from the HR Y pipe.
I installed my FI resonated tested pipes on sunday, and now i've got some serious serious rasp. I think its due to the fact that the outlets of my test pipes are 2.5, and the inlets of my Y pipe are 1.75" - 2". I also think there could be a leak somewhere.
I think im going to purchase a new Y pipe, but i need some input after i have spent the past 3 days searching this. I need a Y pipe that matches my test pipe outlets - 2.5" but the inlet of my tanabe is 2.75. Do i go with a 3" Y outlet, or a 2.5" outlet?
Im trying to get the least rasp, least turbulence possible. Let me know what you guys think. Thanks!

At that point, I'd rather get the exhaustdepot, or tanabe Y pipe
That's what I thought. So, i should NOT have a Y pipe with an outlet of greater than 2.75, as my tanabe midpipe inlet is 2.75...
