CLyons0203 thanks for reperting your findings, that is what makes this board so valuable. It seems this puts the debate to rest the rasp IS NOT caused by different size inlets and outlets, it is caused by removing the stock cats. The stocks cats are not only restrictive in terms of power but they also muffle rasp quite well.

It was proven quite clearly in two ways to me. I made a mod to my rear muffler than on any other car, would have been fine. It sounded like ***

I've seen and heard many, many other mods, exhausts, setups on the 350, and as a general rule, the cheaper the system, the more chance it has of exhibiting drone, or rasp. Rasp is most common, drone either accompanies or follows.
The Motordyne systems might not be the cheapest, in fact it's right up there with the top systems, but boy does it get you the perfect results.
