Its an optional module, unfortunately you need to call to order it.

Straight through perforated core resonators have been proven to not impact air flow at all. If you're using a resonator with a louvered core it will decrease air flow slightly, but most resonators these days use perforated cores.

Yeah, the chambered mufflers restrict air flow, everything else is straight through for all intents and purposes.

how does getting a resonator work? I was under the impression that you couldnt have any XYZ attachments on the TDX2 because it has that thing (dont know the technical term) that ends up splitting the piping into a dual going back?

Sorry i missed this reply, this is not an XYZ attachment, it's a TDX2 attachment.

That 'thing' as you put it (mid resonator) attaches to the XYZ, when it splits, the two mid pipes that come from it, would then get the resonator modules or the HFC modules (as i have)

Gotcha so you get rid of those 350z to G35 extensions and that is where the new resonator or HFC's would go? Thanks!

The module location on the xyz pipe is where the TDX2 'X' resonator goes. Right after that is where the mid pipes go, or the modules if so chosen.

Does anyone have pics of this resonator module to quiet down the exhaust?

I don't have the resonator but i do have the HFC pipes, no pics online yet. It's just the normal v-band mid pipes, but they have the HFC at one end of them.

Oh. I dont want to put a HFC into it. I want to resonate the sound thats all.

The exhaust is on its way to my place. Just worried that it'll be too loud and want to know my options.

Is there just a resonator? Or is the resonator the HFC module for the midpipe as you refer to?

As I understood it, and from what Tony posted a while back, there is a resonator mid section and a HFC mid section.
I imagine the HFC would dampen the sound a little, but for flow, i understand it to only affect it by 1-2 HP, they're spread over two pipes and in a 3 inch section.

Mine is a DD and it's fine, it's a very good exhaust, if anything, i'd say it was two exhausts in one. After about 3800rpm, it's a completely different sound, and obviously louder.

I just installed mine about 2 weeks ago. Its really fine for a DD, I DD mine everyday and its not that loud to be honest. Sound is completely different over 3800 rpm like was stated above, so if you dont punch it at all it really would be just like stock in terms of loudness.
