So, the difference was definately noticeable. I know the plenum spacer was the major contributor to the change, but the sound was better with the airbox and the z-tube. If anyone has any other comments feel free to contribute. I was contemplating a K/N air filter, but it sounds like the Amsoil one I'm using is just as good. Thanks.
I wanna do the same intake mods.. I'm glad u are happy with them, can't wait to do mine..

Where did you hear that its not a good intake? I have it with the z-tube and am very happy with it. It's really loud too. I'll make a video of it and send you the link tomorrow. Also even in 85+ degree heat when I floor it I still get that kick that I love

I dont know. I want this intake with an amsoil filter. I think that would be a great combo. I dont want an intake real low either just because of water when it rains.

This is it then! Also by filter I assume you mean the cone? Or are you talking about the panel filter?

I just installed the Stillen intake on my car and did plugs. Car felt a lot better but its more of a function of restoring lost power from the plugs that were never changed.

If you want more noise and to minimize power loss, get the Stillen intake. The airbox is very similar in design to the OEM box so there can't be that much extra heat soak over the OEM intake.

You won't hear the motor through an intake. All an intake does is make a sucking sound. If you want to hear the motor better, replace the y-pipe and the mid pipe.
