A lot of aftermarket intakes use K&N filters. Stillen doesn't seem to be much different.

I kinda just want the pipe and heat shield... not the filter. But I doubt I'll be able to do that.

Cone filters are interchangeable. You just have to make sure you get the right diameter and length.

I used NGK Iridiums. I forget the part # but I got it online here I think from a DIY thread. Same temperature range as stock.

KNN filters work fine, just get the kit and be done with it.

K&N filters flow too good. I'd rather have more protection than HP's

Best I've ever heard my car sound overall is with the stillen kit with the z-tube. If memory serves the 5/16ths spacer sounded awesome in that collection also. Stock everything else.

Performance? I don't know but it sounded ferocious. My mileage plummeted because I was flooring it everywhere I went.

I have the MREV2, 5/16 spacer, NISMO R tune CAI and a K&N filter for it. My plugs are WAY over due but we get about 21 mpg average.

NGK Laser Platinum PLFR5A-11... basically OEM unless you have some high performance goals or are running FI in which case maybe we're having a different conversation.

I think that would be a wise investment.

So let me get this straight, you're going to spend $250 for an intake that nets you zero gains in HP yet you think a spacer for the same price that will add a good 10-15 HP is overpriced?

Oh grasshopper you have lots to learn about the G.
