Momentum Headers

Just thought I'd share this. Anybody that wanted a set of these headers, Z1 has some for a great price as seen on there facebook page and website.

http://www.z1motorsports.com/350_g35...oducts_id=5077

I had to jump on this deal cuz I had planned on getting them before they went under and figured now I would'nt be able too but here they are for half the price....

Are these any good though?

Comparing the PPE headers?

I think this is an awesome deal and all but I would like to know whats sets them from all the other headers?

These are good headers from what I know and have read about them. PPE are long tube headers were as these are shorty style headers which means you can still use hi flow cats, stock cats, or test pipes with. The long tube design gets rid of the need for cats or test pipes. They connect straight to the Y pipe which means you most likely will not pass emissions. When it comes to power compared between the two styles, I can not tell you to much about that but I'm sure each has its perks over the other.

Yeah I was aware of the PPE being long tube.

Im just trying to see what sets these off from other aftermarket headers for the VQ apps. besides awesome craftsmanship *thumbs up* Price is awesome as well for being half off now =)

I know Tomei headers are very good and I hear they do well on NA apps.

I would just like to hear from first hand experience about these before I drop cash on them. For ex. like the MD ART pipes and spacers. Awesome review and feedback, hence my jump on those parts.

These are awesome with ART pipes or test pipes. I had these before switching to PPE headers.

I only switched to PPE's because my DE is now cammed and I wanted the most out of them.

My PPE thread is comparing the LTH to these and ART pipes with and with out cams.

I ran my PB of 13.14 with these headers and ART pipes. Gained about 8-10 hp/tq over stock.

The shorty install is a bit longer than long tubes. That combined with the fact you still need test pipes afterwards means the price was within $200.

+1 for Z1, great bunch of guys, but I had to jump on the PPE group buy.

Definitely heading down to Z1 for a dyno tune after I install them.

I don't think many people have these headers. The main selling point of these headers is that they worked with their turbo kit. All other ST kits you need the stock manifolds.

Price is what kept most people away I paid $900 for mine used in 08 before momentum came out. I intended on getting their kit at the time, but decided to stay NA.

Is that with cams installed? or no cams with the momentum headers?

I looked at the PPE's back when I was looking around on what I wanted. The two main reasons I didnt buy them is cus I figured my car wouldnt pass emissions (which is also why I chose to go with HFC's over the ART pipes) with them and I plan on going FI later on down the road once the funds are there. Hopefully, depending on how long that will be, I will be able to still find there turbo kit. I know of one site so far that still has it but who knows how long and how many they have. Once that time comes if I cant find one of their's, I guess I'll just have to custom one up or find another single setup and just custom fab the exhaust tubing to use these headers.

Did you throw any codes with your LTH's or ART pipe setups??
