Spacer, MREV2 or both??

I've got a 2006 RevUp engine with a 5/16 spacer. I was about to buy a MREV2 to go with it because I thought that the combination was the best hp gain. I've seen the dyno linked from the motordyne website but I can't find any other info. I was recently told that I only need one or the other and that the combination of the two isn't worth it. So the question is what provides the best hp increase: a 5/16 spacer alone? MREV2 alone? or both together?

The answer is both. Whoever told you that the combination isn't worth it (HP or money?) may not be well informed. I personally don't have an MREV, but I know people who do.

It will make a minimum of 15HP/18TQ in the upper midrange. Many people have dynod in excess if 20HP/30TQ.

MREV2 & 5/16 spacer was one of the best breather mods Iv'e done to my car.
U can really feel the power diff in the higher rpm ranges.
Well worth the money, esp if u can buy them used. Def get both.
U can prob get the MREV2 used for about $350 and with some patience u can do the install yourself.

the spacer on your 06 isn't doing anything for you without the MREV2... Call Tony at MD, he'll explain it to you.

Tony has a lot of posts on here about it, but for simplicity:

1. Spacer alone is great for non-revups
2. Spacer alone on revups doesn't really do anything
3. MREV2 does nothing for non-revups, but is AMAZING for revups
4. Spacer + Mrev2 for revups adds a bit more even

Agreed with everyone else, get both, and a Z-tube/ K&N filter to free up the intake side. next best mod is going to be a $300 Osiris reflash to remove the electronic throttle restriction and reset the fuel targets.. From then on it gets expensive
