Nismo Exhaust Extension

Hey guys,

I just purchased a Nismo S Tune catback for my G, the problem is I cant seem to find the exhaust extension I need . Every company that used to sell them no longer does! I am getting very frustrated and I really do not want to cut up or weld anything on my new exhaust.
On eBay I found these:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/350Z-to-G35-...c9253d&vxp=mtr

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Infiniti-G35...e7417a&vxp=mtr

The first one I believe is 2.25" piping. I believe the Nismo is 2.4", which one would work better ?

Thank You!

Well the nismo CBE drone with the ART pipes on highway drives around 50-70... Anything above 70 the drone was gone. It was at a distinct point on the RPM that it would drone very bad and I believe that was around 2.8k-3k.

With the TDX V2, MD claims its droneless but I beg to differ.

It drones so bad at coasting speeds say around 40 miles at 2k RPM. Anything above 55 its quiet. Im guessing its bc its how deep the exhaust sounds down low.

The main reason why I got the Nismo CBE is because of the sound. I personally think the Nismo CBE sounds the best out of all the VQ exhaust systems out there next to the Amuse (TDX probably comes third).

I switched exhaust system bc of the drone on the freeway (I did a lot of commutes before to my University from home but now that I graduated.. Im mainly on city roads and the TDX isnt something I really need since its better for freeway driving).

Another reason why I switched also is for better performance. Switching from the single 3'' to the a dual made a difference that I could feel.

Oh and the drone is a lot worse on the TDX compared to the drone on the Nismo =(

haha, I tried them! They dont have any in stock and had no eta on when they would arrive

I actually went through with the purchase 2 weeks ago and they gave me a refund because they did not have any in stock. However, since Nismo exhaust is indeed 3" I bought the eBay one

Thanks guys! Im excited, I currently have a Magnaflow CBE (non true dual) with Megan resonated tp's..... do not try it at home lol!

G35
Not trying to hijack the thread but I have a similar question.

Just picked up a Nismo S tune for my G that was installed on a 350z. He wanted to keep the Y pipe, so i got from mid pipe all the way to the end.

Do I still need the extensions since I'm keeping stock Y pipe for now?
