Non-Revup w/ Revup lower plenum

I just recently acquired a Revup lower plenum($20), i have a non-Revup motor. My question is would it be productive for me to do a port and polish on the Revup lower and add a spacer then install or do a swap and port and polish my stock lower and then re swap with the addition of a spacer.

I cannot afford any downtime with my vehicle, so im just trying to get the best and most efficient game plane. The less I'm under the bonnet the better!

I would like to see some power but thats not as important to me as getting increased gas milage.

I have only crossed some post on here stating that there is no pro or cons to using a Revup lower on non-Revups but that Revup lowers have no benefit w/ spacers(on revup motors).

Any ideas or suggestions will be taken into account.

Background on myself: I work in a precision sheet metal (past 5 years) and I'm currently apprenticing as a machinist(old school mill) so i have many skills, tools, and help at my disposal to do this task.

Thank you for reading!

i guess if you're going to PnP, i'd do it with the non-revup lower since that's what the MREV+ is. You have non-revup so all you really need is the spacer anyways, never been sold on the MREV stuff, so i'm not sure if it's even worth the trouble to do all of that. I wouldn't wast time/money to PnP the revup lower. I'm sure it was tested by Motordyne before they decided to stick with the non-revup lower for their MREV

This is true. You would be going backwards if you decide to install the Rev-up lower. You have a non-revup and if you do a search there's a few thread on how to modfify it for better flow. That along with the MD spacer should net you the proven hp/tq gains.

A REVUP lower plenum on a non revup engine loses power. Consider it the inverse of the MREV. Instead of gaining a lot of power, the REVUP lower plenum loses a lot of power. Same magnitude and RPM spectrum but inverted.

Put your stock plenum back on with the spacer.

Thank you everyone for the words of advice, the person I picked up the revup lower plenum exchanged it with the non revup plenum. So now i have the same plenum on my car and now to do my own clean up job.
