Non-Revup + MREV+

So after reading this entire thread https://g35driver.com/forums/showthr...+on+non-rev+up I can use the MREV+ lower plenum with my Non-revup motor and use any upper plenum I want. I can use my Kinetix SSV upper plenum with the MREV+ lower plenum and just sell my Non-Revup lower plenum to a 05+ Revup motor owner which is considered a MREV lower plenum for them right? Trey.hutcheson where are you at man you are the G35 dictionary I need help!

Technically, there are no differences between your stock lower plenum and the mrev lower plenum. Now, the difference between the mrev and mrev+ lower plenum is a machining process. I really don't know the specifics on the machining process(that's Tony's domain), nor would I share them if I did know them. Then there's the mrev2. It's my understanding that the mrev2 has further machining applied to the lower plenum versus the mrev+.

Before you pull the trigger on the lower plenum swap, do some research to see if anyone has tried your kinetix plenum with the mrev2 lower collector. If you don't get any hits on here, try over on my350z. That site contains a greater depth of technical knowledge.

If you do decide to upgrade the lower plenum, I would move up to the mrev2 lower plenum. I haven't completely kept up with the mrev2, but I believe Tony offers a core swap. That will help minimize costs. ***But***, you don't be able to sell your stock collector because it's used in the core swap.

If you get the standard mrev+ lower collector, you can in fact sell your stock lower plenum to a revup owner. That way, all that person would need to complete the mrev package would be to purchase the spacer. However, that would only be the standard mrev and not the mrev+. My point is, I don't know how many revup owners will only go with the standard mrev; you may have a hard time selling your plenum.

Hope this helps.

I thought the SSV replaces the upper and lower collector - does it not?
