HKS vs Godspeed

i've been doing some searching around the net on different exhausts for an 05 base g35 coupe trying to figure out which exhaust i like best. i've come to a dilemma with two brand that i am looking into. HKS is a highly recommended brand for the car and has a beautiful sound. Godspeed has a very similar sound and seems to be known as the clone for HKS. my questions are these;

#1 - why doesn't HKS list infiniti as a supported brand on their website

#2 - since Godspeed seem to be known as just a clone would it be considered a quality exhaust system?

the money i could save purchasing a GodSpeed system seems to be the smart way to go

Cool

I got a Godspeed (HKS clone) a few years ago, and it was LOUD realy LOUD....Then I changed to Stillen and I love it. Heard HKS is better brand than Godspeed but still loud.
With the Godspeed it came a time I couldn't talk with my girl while cruising...for me that sucks!
Anyway.....I recomend Stillen....Good luck bro!

It sucks not having HKS USA anymore but you can go to http://www.hks-power.co.jp/en/ and look under Nissan and then Skyline Coupe for the parts you'd like. Everything should be there AFIK.

With all that being said I revert to ME GUSTA's comment as far as what brand to go with.

I've had severl HKS components on my 240's and all, from electronics to suspension, have worked flawlessly.

I've been to the site before. thats the one that i was curious as to why infiniti wasn't listed. i hadn't thought about the fact that it is the skyline over seas. thanks a lot for the help also i see that it lists the HR engine but that engine is only in the 2007 and up right. would the part still work for the 05-07 rev up DE engine?

The HR engine is on the 07-08 350z, the 07 G35 Sedan and then VHR later. The G35 coupe NEVER was given the HR motor, only the DE non rev-up and rev-up motors.

Up front I dislike replicas, they never have the quality of the original. HKS really let the Infiniti community down when we discovered the restrictions in our crossovers which was nothing more than damn poor quality control. They did nothing for us and I wouldn't be surprised if they still haven't corrected it! So, none of the above when looking for a quality exhaust system! Shopping for a quality real dual exhaust I wouldn't look any further than Motordyne systems....Gary

I believe someone said after emailing HKS that as long as you were in the three year warranty period (and I think someone you had to be the original owner) that they would exchange it for you. So they did do something for "us."

If you are so displeased with that crossover issue you had, why don't you just buy a Motordyne exhaust if your so unhappy?

@ rejin267, if you decide to go with the HKS exhaust, just double to check to make sure it doesn't have that crossover issue. Members have had this issue, so, I will not deny that. Also, I will say that is completely unacceptable, but, I would still buy parts from HKS as I plan on doing.
