HFCs + Stock Exhaust vs. HFCs + Cat-Back
HFCs + Stock Exhaust vs. HFCs + Cat-Back
I apologize if this has been covered before, but a search yielded no results.
My question is, is a catback really worth it? Everything I've read suggests that the real restriction in the G35's exhaust system is in the catalytic converters.
Also, I love the sound of the stock exhaust. From the videos I've seen, stock exhaust + HFCs seem to keep that same stock tone, but give it a more aggressive sound and make it slightly louder.
So, is the anywhere from $750-$2000 price tag really worth it, or is it best to keep it stock?

The answer is simple Burke, buy/install the HFCs and enjoy the cool sound! OE cats are where most of the restriction in our exhaust systems. The only thing you might experience is rasp because the OE exhaust wasn't designed to handle all that volume. Listening to vids is a waste of time, they're only as good as the WallMart machines they're recorded on. I suggest Fast Intention HFCs, they're far better than Berks and others! They're available here on our MARKETPLACE under vendor exhaust. Good Luck & Enjoy!
