It would probably help, but feeding air directly to the filter is always the better option.

The most important part about this is pulling air from outside of the engine bay. As long as you have cool air from outside of the engine bay, you won't even have to worry about the piping as the differences are very minimal at this point.

well that area is supposedly pressurized forcing the air to go up top to the funnel. with the divert plate there the air only has one other place to go which is where the cai filtler is since the foam in the bumper that aids in pressurizing is removed. thats my logic lol

I can't tell you whether it would work or not, I didn't care to try that when I had the Nismo CAI on my G. If I did, I'd probably have dyno'd it to see the differences.

getting air from the radiater area must be so negligible that z owners dont even do that mod anymore...i think. imo doesnt seem like they do

LoL...I think if its worth it I'd take the extra time. Hell rattle can that ish after so it doesnt look TOO bad
