I noticed that g35accessories.com offers a complete coupe exhaust system for the sedan.
They say the system will add 20 horsepower and can be mounted with slight modification to the sedan bumper. Of course, the mod kit for the bumper will cost you extra. What do you guys think?

I plan on putting the exhaust on my coupe on my sedan as soon as I can get a good replacement.

I plan on scavenging the coupe dual exhausts for my 6M sedan if it is cost effective, 20hp sounds very optimistic for any aftermarket exhaust though. Maybe 5-10 hp. I would be truly impressed if a 20hp gain was to be had.

Didn't they say that this exaust is the only difference btw the sedan and the coupe, meaning the coupe got its extra hp from this system alone.....??

I've heard that the ECU can be flashed to coupe specs and even 350Z specs, but that Infiniti has strictly forbidden that this be done by the service dept. Don't know if its just a rumor but I do get my Maxima serviced at the local Infiniti dealer because Nissan service sucks and i've heard this can be done more than once by a few of the techs. I/E +ECU would definitely get us up to 350Z specs, thats why i'm not really worried about the 6M Sedan not getting a HP upgrade.

As far as the exhaust, www.bbtriflo.com has just released a new exhaust system for the 350Z that they say actually increases HP and torque (compared to other aftermarket systems that resulted in a loss of power). I am checking to see what their plans are for a G35 sedan exhaust. Perhaps the 350Z product can readily be modified for the G.

You would rather pay $900 for a stock system over a potentially better aftermarket system?

Just looking at the pics, I would say that that system will never fit a sedan. Look under your sedan and try to figure out how that muffler is going to fit. Also, look at the hanger points, are any of them in the same place? I can't believe they are even trying to sell it.

I'm skeptical on the coupe exhaust fitting. The car's dimensions are indeed different. Also, hanging it would be a bitch due to the coupe's different rear bumper cover.
You want more HP? Get a custom mandrel-bent dual system made.
As for 20hp from an exhaust....no. 10 at the most.
