need help with exhaust

Hello, I was hoping to get some advice. I have an 04 coupe. I loved the sound of my stock exhaust. But then I looked under the car and noticed a hole in the muffler.... So I decided to purchase some hks replicas. Well, I think I hate the sound of them. To me, they sound like ****. Are the replicas supposed to sound just like the real deal? If not, is there an exhaust I can get that is deep AND sounds like stock. Maybe magmaflow? Thanks

Replicas are exactly what they are—replicas. They are modeled after the real product but of course (probably) using inferior materials and decreased quality control. Replicas have the same layout and piping and everything as the real product but usually end up with other problems like leaks and cracks.

A good, authentic catback will cost you around $1000. Some of the top brands out there for the G are Motordyne and Fast Intentions. Search around YouTube for exhaust clips and find what suits your taste.

Nothing worse than buying a "Replica" and finding out you've wasted your $$! Magnflow makes a replacement mufflers that should sound like you want. Buying an aftermarket exhaust will be louder than the OE sound you like...Gary

Have you thought about looking into replacing the muffler with an OEM one? You can retain the stock sound that way. Try searching the marketplace and you may get lucky.
