I have a 04 6MT sedan and want to replace the stock muffler/pipe. I found the rubber hangers on my muffler are side-facing, however when I searched online for replacement, there are products with hangers both rear-facing and side-facing and they all claim to fit 03-06 sedan. E.g the megan racing OE-RS catback, it's rear-facing and claims will fit all 03-06 sedan

The hanger for the 03-04's is different from the 05-06 sedans. So you need to verify either through a picture or by talking to someone that whatever you buy has the side facing supports. You could make the Megan work by buying an 05-06 bracket and replacing yours. It's a super easy DIY.

Is this the metal bracket that holds the rubber hanger? Thanks!

 

Dealership would be the best place to look for it. I don't have a part number but they can look it up, and yes it's the bracket the hangers attach to.
