Dynomax VT muffler
Has anyone tried one of the Dynomax VT mufflers as part of a custom exhaust setup or as a replacement resonator in the mid pipe? Thinking about trying this as a replacement for the resonator on my Tanabe midpipe to cut down on the in-cabin drone and part-throttle drone.
Came across this article in another thread: http://www.motoiq.com/MagazineArticl...Mean-Slow.aspx
and thought it might be worth a try, given they're only $90 or so.
Only concern seems to be rattling at idle that occurs with some of the mufflers.
Thoughts?

That site is a very well respected. If they found good results with it, I'd seriously consider it if their concerns are the same as yours. I went with a dual in/out Magnaflow X pipe. But if you already have a Y pipe, this might be the way to go.

Thanks Jeff. Yeah, I am running the HR y-pipe, and agree it might be worth a shot, especially considering it shouldn't cost too much to have it done. My biggest concern is that many seems to experience rattling butterfly valves.
The other option is a Vibrant Ultra Quiet Resonator, which seems to get great reviews on Amazon and Summit Racing. It seems a fair bit bigger than the current resonator on the Tanabe mid-pipe.
