I'm thinking about getting hfc's and headers but wondering if it'll be worth it. A lot of people swear by motordyne and yes their system sounds good but, after listening to my exoticspeed, I can't complain one bit. Sometimes I turn off my radio just so I can enjoy the sound of my exhaust and listening to it idle is music to my ears.

Being that my coupe is also my daily driver I get to enjoy it everyday. Seeing as how your wife loves it that should tell you, you made a good decision. Women usually could care less about car mods.
My only gripe with the Exoticspeed was the bolt on tips. They were a little small but more so it looked kind of cheap if you had a stock bumper because you can see the bolts. Nothing a rear diffuser or aftermarket bumper wouldn't fix. Other than that, great exhaust

Thumbs up

The tires you have. How do you like them and how well do they perform. I'm considering purchasing a set for my rear tires but, I'm still on the fence about them. It's either those or Michelin.

The only way I can see the bolts on my exhaust is to get on my knees and look at them. Something I never do. However I do love the exhaust tips and no they don't look small at all. I do like the fact that I can change the tips for some other exotic speed tips but, I love the blue tips. My motto, if it ain't broke, don't breake it. I'm in the process of finding some exticspeed headers and hfc's to finish off the exhaust. Plus, I love that my exhaust can be used with NA cars as well as FI. Either way its a win, win.

I could start a whole new thread about those tires, for you I'll sum it up in few quick sentences.

This is my 3 or maybe even 4th set. I normally get about 40k out of them (no crazy driving)
They offer phenomenal dry and wet grip, best grip tires I had (I had Toyo T1R and Bridgestone Potenza)
This set however is a totally different story and I think I k now why.
This set I bought in October last year and immediately after I put them on I noticed traction issues with a car. Basically after several changed bushings and 4 alignments I think the problem is in the age of the tires. My previous sets were all new sets. Meaning that the tires were made in the same year I bought them. This set was made in 08 and 10. At first I was hesitant to put them on because of the age, but was assured by the shop and the manufacturer that there should not be no issues when the tires being 4 years old.
As far as I can tell, they were wrong. The old traction that I'm used to on these tires is not there, I get weird wobble in the tire side wall when impacted by the road and My rear are 50% worn out in 5 months (usually last me couple of years). Part of the wear problem is the alignment issues I was having, other I blame on the age of the tire and the fact that rubber compound is harder that it would be in a new tire.

To sum things up. This is an awesome tire when it's new. Do not buy it if it's more than 2 years old. I will defiantly go with these tires for a next set, but I will make sure they are produced in that same year.

Hope that helps.

Rather than waste $$ on diffusers and bumpers have any muffler shop weld the Exoticspeed tips on eliminating those bolts you dislike so much!

Mr. B, check out Michelin Pilot Super Sports from www.thetirerack.com. Their prices are wholesale and you'll be forever satisfied with anything Michelin...I promise!

Thumbs up Thinking of Sensatracs

Thanks Joker, any pics of your coupe. Thanks as well Gary. Although I don't need tires right now, I don't like waiting until I do so I'm doing my research now. One more thing Joker. Your nephew knows a good exhaust when he hears it.

how many sets of Pilot Sport have you gone through Gary?
It troubles me that in most reviews they only last about 20k.

I've been thru one set of Michelin PS2s because the UTQG was 180, the set lasted 28K miles. I'm currently running the Pilot Super Sports with a UTQG of 300, already passed 20K miles and I still have over 40% tread left. They feel just as sticky as the PS2s and will last far longer. I've run most quality tires on my G and previous Z, Michelin's have never failed me like other brands...Gary

300 cell count on them cats.

I tried shooting inside the car video, but it just does not do the justice to the exhaust.
I'm waiting for a stereo mic to get here so I can mount it with a gopro and shoot the on the road video.

as good as Motordyne is, it's nothing but pipes. I read all the research that was done by them. As long as you have a 2.5 inch Y pipe that meets into 3 inch exhaust, you got the best exhaust. Rest is just noise and rasp management. Power gains come from those two size pipes.
