First time posting, need help with 2005 G35 5AT bolt-on vs supercharger, CDN prices?
Hey folks,
I'm trying to look for prices in Canada for bolt on parts or a supercharger setup for my car. I need to figure out a rough estimate of how much parts will cost but I can't seem to find any website that has a good variety of parts with Canadian prices . I want to simply figure out how much is would cost to buy a lot of great bolt on parts versus how much it would cost to do a somewhat conservative supercharger setup. But then I also need help on figuring out prices on installation, for instance, like how much just an exhaust system installation would normally cost. Any info or advice or resources that would help with this project would be greatly appreciated, thanks!w

If you can be a little more specific I can help.
I can tell you now, a supercharger will be more expensive without a doubt. The chances of finding one locally is slim to none, so the conversion for us with the crappy CAD vs USD will kill it. Then slap on the installation on top to set you even further. This is assuming you don't rebuild. If you do rebuild that another massive dent in your account. Depending on your engine, it can possible turn into a ticking time bomb even if you're looking into a slight boost if you leave it stock.
For starters, what is your goal that you want to achieve? Secondly, how much RWHP are looking to get with the supercharger?
ie) Do you want a funner DD? Are you looking to get the best 1/4? Is this going to be a track machine?

A full tilt boogie Twin Turbo set up can run upwards of $50K+ USD, because you would need to do a full build on the motor, add a big brake kit, better cooling, better tires, wheels, suspension, gauges, exhaust, etc. Just look at some of the builds here.
If you want to add fun without all the hassles, go with a Vortec or Stillen SC. DON'T go over 7 psi of boost on a stock engine and you may get 20-30K out of a stock motor. You have a 2005 so Im guessing you have well over 100,000K on it. You will need to do a rebuild on it if you ever hope to make it last any time at all.
Like someone else said, if you want a turbo or SC car, buy one from the dealer. It's the cheapest way.
