Worth it just getting a Y-pipe or wasting my money? Any real gains from just running one or more of a sound change? I may go with Crawford cats but that may not be for awhile. Any help from Y-pipe owners would be appreciated.

Y-pipe
I have the gruppe-s y-pipe with stock exhaust. It seems to have added a little more power, and a deeper, meaner exhaust note. It's not really a lot louder, except at wot. The outlet flange on the Y-pipe is 3 in. and the inlet to the B pipe is 2 1/2 inches. I ordered a 3 in. flange and will weld a 3 in. to 2 1/2 in. pipe and addapt it so there is a little better flow accross the different size pipes(do a search to find a detailed description of this). I've heard of people dynoing y-pipes and getting around 5 hp. Not bad for a couple hundred dollars.

i recently got the gruppe-s y pipe, along with the fujitsubo exhaust. although i installed the exhaust first, i've seen a noticeable increase of power with the y-pipe. the exhaust note sounds the same and the car seems a bit quicker. it was a great buy for $225.

The price tag...go w/ the gruppe s I don't think you 'll see any noticable differences between it & all the other Ypipes on the market.
