Describe the CAI sound

I did a search, but didn't find anything.

Describe the sound that a CAI makes. Is it just a little wooshing sound in the front of the car or does it somewhat affect the sound of the exhaust (throatier)?

woos, woos??

Hmm, K&N Typhoon CAI sounds more like a cross between

1. a wide open 4 barrel carb (my opinion)
2. a ferrari spooling up (04 mustang owner thinks so, what can i say?)

I don't get much added sound until 4000+ rpm.

I'm curious to hear what mine sounds like. I bought the AEM.

Hopefully, it will sound similar to a Ferrari. Better that than a CIVIC with a spoiler!!!!!

I'm assuming that AEM is a trusted brand. This is what the guys at Jotech were pushing.

I also made sure to get a bypass, because you never know what the weather here in Texas will be like.

I got the aem from jotech also. It sounds like a turbo spooling. I did a dyno before and after...added 3hp. Other than the cai i'm stock.

cartish - you better watch what you say ..."added 3hp"... there are a lot of people around here that will stare you down until you tell them you 'lost' 3 hp, and then they tell you to go out and get a z-tube.
i've had the aem for over a year now, works great!! no issues, except cleaning it. ...pita.
