I did a search, and there seems to be some conflicting info about the length of the extension needed to fit a Z exhaust on a G. Can anyone confirm whether or not it's 6" or 8"?

I'm looking into making a custom reducer cone extension and fitting an OEM Z midpipe to my G.

 

I think its a 6" extension on the mid-pipe, and if you use a 350Z muffler section the tips will need to be extended 2".

 

measured mine in the garage...8" from flange to flange.
