DIY on test pipes?

i dont know of an exact DIY, but I did them myself on my Z and that seems more difficult tan the G b/c it looks like the cats were placed higher on the Z than the G. YOu just have to remove the bolts on the top part of the cats that connect to the headers. once you loosen those, you can push the cats down b/c the Y-pipe and the "honeycombs" bend. by doing this you can loosen the cats from the top. then you can unbolt the stock cats at the Y pipe. PUtting the pipes in is the easiest part. you dont need much of a DIY for that part. its common sense for that. removing the first one took about 45 minutes for me b/c I didnt know what to do, but the 2nd one took about 20 mins cuz you know what to do. what exhaust are you running w/ the test pipes? Im thinking of running test pipes with stock exhaust i love the sound of stock and test pipes jsut make it louder.

oh my hell...is this a serious question? This car is not new. anything you can think of doing has probably been attempted, or done...and most likely in lots of different ways. Do some searching and you will get the answers you seek.
cats have 3 bolts/nuts on upstream and 2 on down stream (per side) - its pretty easy to swap out

Dont play yourself get resonated test pipes i got megans and have almost no rasp at all. But as mentioned above its pretty straight forward with the install now headers thats a whole other ball game.

Yes. I had that on my sedan. It was a bit louder, but not like swapping the muffler. I had unresonated test pipes so there was some slight rasp. But not too bad.
As for the install, just remove the o2 sensors, unbolt everything from the midpipe side and from the headers side and install. Can't remember how difficult it is, but having the right tools will help. If you have air tools, it will help a bunch. I think the headers side was difficult to get the bolts on and off, but I didn't have the proper tools. A muffler shop shouldn't charge more than 40-50 I think.

I have Kinetix resonated test pipes, an HR y-pipe and stock catback. Here are a few videos of my car on the street, at the track and on the dyno.
