Crawford Cats Just Went In - Wo Baby!

Had to post this, so as an observer I must be excited. Had brand new Crawford Hi-Flow cats isnstalled today. What a difference! No dyno data but damn, what a dramatic kick in the pants. The installer told me he used to race professionally for Nissan, and after he took the G out for a test drive he came back smiling. Thought it was VERY "responsive" and much faster and and better handling than he ever thought possible.

As for the Crawford products I have installed, I have to add that the installs went flawlessly, perfect fit and finish. I also found excellent support and service from Doug at the Crawford Z company. I made many calls to work a few kinks out, but they handled the questions and concerns with total professionalism. (This is an important intangible to me, how companies deal with service issues and after-sale problems).

My G has had a definite power increase, very noticable. The exhaust tone is also louder and deeper, perfectly lowering the Invidia's rumble in the low frquencies. Just what I wanted. At WOT it wails.

Best investment for my G so far...

how is the sound level when cruizing at 70? i am getting Crawford headers and high-flow cats next week, and i have Fujitsubo Legalis-R on the sedan - the exhaust is very quiet when cruizing, i wonder if headers/cats will cause it to be a lot louder when cruizing.

btw, do you have sedan or coupe? - your sig doesn't say.

Cool

The Coupe of course! It is nice and very loud at WOT and seems to be a good bit louder at 3-4000rpm, but (to my ear) not excessive. Personaly, I really like a louder exhaust note but not so tht it drowns out soft conversation. I jsut had it done this afternoon and haven't had the car out at highway speeds yet so I don't really know yet, but at 70mph in 5th or 6th you're turning about 3000 revs it should not be too bad.

I'll chekc it out on later on Saturday and repost.

oh you tease... ok, i'll wait. as long as it does not drone - like my stillen cat-back did. i can handle /loud/ - in fact, my exhaust is too quiet for me right now - just not droning.

btw, why did you only get cats, and not headers too?

These cats WILL NOT create any kind of droning noise.

My wife and I went to a nice restaraunt here in Dallas last night and listened to XM Radio with no outside noise.

The only time they get loud is when you hammer down the pedal.......which is when you WANT it to.

These cats are perfect.

The sound is awesome, definitely not too loud. I have the Crawford headers and cats and the wife hasn't even noticed. I am thinking about the Fuji exhaust next.
