where can I get a Carbon fiber Z-tube?
Yep^. It's a nice piece. Good clearcoat and a qaulity-looking CF. The inside is a little rough, but it doesn't appear bad enough to hurt airflow properties. And hit it with some Zaino Z2 and Z6 before installing. The depth of the CF and the clearity really jumps out! And I thought it looked nice right out of the box.
i have one brand new in box, which i bought directly from the hands of Mike at UT. i was going with a CF theme under the hood, but decided to switch it up, so i never installed it

Hey, I have a CF Z tube also. Note it is for the Z not the G, which they also sell. I ordered the wrong one unfortunately. I want to sell it. I paid $140 I think, but I will sell it for $100. It is new in box.

I have seen the CF tube and yes it looks nice but my problem is the inside of the tube is not smooth would that not restrict the airflow somewhat?? if you going to pay 100 bucks ould it not make more sense to go with the ut aluminum one?? Any idea?

I have heard of 2 theories.
1. a rough surface that holds a layer of air which in turn reduces friction
2. You want that puppy as smooth as possible.
I'm no flow mechanic but to me smooth sounds logical.
smooth isn't always best for flow. some texture can be good. A good fluid mechanics book can explain it well.
An easy example of of where a smooth surface is not the best design is:
A GOLF BALL
I'm not sure what the inside of that CF tube is really like. If the inside diameter is greatly affected then there might be an issue...otherwise it's a nice looking piece!

The dimples are designed for flight.
With the ball rotation the dimples create a low pressure envelope below the ball
which gives it lift.
With a hook or slice the envelope is shifted from the vertical axis due to side rotation.
