Custom 3" true dual exhaust w/HKS TI mufflers

I just had a custom 3" true dual exhaust installed in my G. I previously had the Greddy EVO II, but it was too restrictive for my set up. At 16psi with the EVO II I only made 430whp. When the Evo II was disconnected from the test pipes the car made 543whp at 12.5psi. With the 3" exhaust the car pulls much harder, but it still running rich......9.9:1 above 4500 rpms. I am going to get the current tune leaned out in the high 10's low 11's. Without the Evo II the car was running a little lean so I was hoping with the 3" exhaust it would get to where it needed to be. I will have the car retuned next week and post the new dyno numbers. I can't imagine what it is going to feel like after that, cause the car is pretty nutty right now. Here are some pics.

Underneath view from the front

Underneath view from the rear

View of exhaust tips from the rear. There is a big space between the tips and the car because the tips were positioned with my Top Secret Rear bumper on the car. I am getting the body kit installed soon.

That setup looks just great! Nice craftsmanship. So are you teaching your daughter how to put finger prints on your car? Ha ha. That's going to be one nice ride when your done.
Your effort is paying off! Pasta

Thanks for the comments about the car and kid.

Well I just took the car for another spin and it is unfreaking believable. It's bananas yo! You can tell it is definatley running lean, because it sputters and kinda hesitates above 5000 RPMS. It is still making power, but not as crisp as in below 4000 RPMS. The PLX wideband says 91 above 3700 or so, and the AEM wideband reads --------, which is lower than 9.0:1 (I think). Also I noticed that I am only hitting 9-10psi in 3rd, 4th,5th, and 6th. Aside from this rich condition the car is running fuking great. The spin I just took consisted of about 7 quater mile lenght passes and 3 125+ mph runs. All back to back and the temp gauge didn't move 1 tick....still reads 1 tick mark below the center. I will drop her off this weekend to get the tune tweaked and check the boost controller.

No, I can't be with out my car that long again. And the milage! I found a shop in pembroke pines that knows wtf they are doing. He has an 1100whp 240 with a rb26 in it. He just needs to tweak it a little. Anyway, I am really hitting my spending tolerance with this car. And to think I still need to pay for the labor to installl the body kit and get my suspension....I think I am going to be sick.

Just FYI, the lower the number on the A/F ratio, the richer it is. Nice non-the-less

Thanks! Yeah it is nutty. I don't think I am making that as much power right now. With no exhaust that puppy was flowing....also I am running rich right now. This should be the last hickup for me. I should be done and running fine within a week.

Incredible setup! You should put up a soundclip once you retune
Theres a shop near me that claims they make custom exhaust piping which makes a g35 sound like an f430..lol. glad you found someone who knows what they're doing!

speaking of which....I just went out and made three short vid. who can host them? email me at jguzman@carnival.com. Just beware I was by myself so there are not the best quality. You can hear the exhaust and the BOV very clearly though.

Wow, very impressive. Coming from a modded to the gills Eclipse GSX, I’ve got the boost bug biting at me and you awesome ride did not help. Congrats on a sweet whip. I miss the turbo “throw you back in your seat” I know your grinning with every boost.

Thanks for the comments everyone. I have used a half a tank of gas in about 1 hour worth of driving. I love this car. It should have come like this from the factory.
