next mod - crawford cats or fuji y-pipe???

Hey guys, I just installed a fujitsubo exhaust, and I am trying to decide between a fuji y-pipe or crawford cats. I am looking to pump a bit more poper from the exhaust, and add a little bit more sound. I have heard that the crawford cats rust, and have fittement problems on the 05s, so that kinda turns me off of them. I also hear that they add up to 12 Wheel hp???Is that bull****, or can anyone prove?

I can prove to you on a dyno (Seperate days tho) that a Y-Pipe + Cold Air adds +10HP (dont quote me but it was like 15?) to the wheels on a dynapack..

IM me if you want me to go dig up a sheet

I had my Crawford cats now for about 6 months (maybe even longer) and never heard of them rusting out!!! Living here in Florida where it rains at least three times a week during the summer months would probably equal as much rainfall total you get there in Va. Beach for the whole year. Anyways, def. no problems with the cats rusting, and yes, you will notice an increase a in sound. Finally, 12 hp from changing the OEM cats to Crawford seems a little far fetch (I don't think a stright test pipe inplace of the cats would even increase your hp that much), but a little gain is better than no gain, right? IMO the Crawford cats were a better mod than my exhaust.

Craawford Cats

Someone tried to sell me a pair of Crawford Cats that were very rusty! I did a alot of reaserch and talked to Doug (from Crawford) several times.

You must have read my tread.

I figured out that the loser selling them left them outside for a while after removing them from his car. He also drove is car in heavy snow w/ lots of salt on the roads!

I would not worry about them rusting, they would rust just as the oem cats would. Depends if you drive on salted roads often.

I purchased a new set and get them installed tomorrow! Yes, tomorrow!

I love em, worth every penny.

as long as you have some1 install them who knows what they are doing you wont have any fitment issues. i've had mine for bout 2 months and they still look like new.
