HKS Exhaust
Even with headers, there really isn't a significant amount of in-cabin noise due to the HKS Hi Power.
If you've been in a car with FUJI, or drive one with the FUJI setup, the HKS is louder. FUJI has a deep rumble in the low RPMs but it's not as pronounced as the HKS.
Still, i think the HKS is not overbearing in terms of noise when sitting inside.
There is a way to induce DRONE though.
That's by crusing up hill.
On my way to and from work, if i'm not gunning it, i'll be in 6th gear going up and down the pomona hill. (nearby Cal Poly)
If i keep it at the same RPM going uphill, it drones.
Still not horrible, but you can hear it.
Worth the wait? Yeah...
Wannabe Exhausts need not apply...
Wait or go custom.

The HKS is definite worth the wait. I've had mine for about 8 months now and still enjoy it everyday. As far as the "drooning sound", it's all matter of opinion depending on the individual but, yes it's louder and deeper than the OEM exhaust. IMO, the G35 coupe already has an loud cabin nosie (compared to BMW or Acura) under normal driving conditions so what's the difference by adding an aftermarkert exhaust.
