Fitment of Invidia Exhaust pipe *help*

Hey everyone. I have a problem with the fitment on the right passenger side pipe of the invidia exhaust. It seems to not have enough clearance from the bottom of my car (right on the bend before it goes straight back). So when i start my car or rev high, it seems to be knocking. It's the most annoying thing ever. This is the pipe right off the right cat converter. I'm wondering what are my options? Can I bend the pipe or pull the whole thing (including the cat) to give the pipe line a little more clearance? I want to try to improvise this myself and want to avoid paying someone to weld it. Btw the invidia exhaust is great. just a bummer that the fitment isn't exact. Thanks for your responses.

Wow - they had a similar problem with Invidia pipes when they introduced them for the WRX. They eventually came out with a version 2 pipe that fixed the rattle, but it took several months.

Good luck with the fix. I'd try to help but I don't have the pipe.

I've installed many invidia systems, and they alllllll do this. I ended up hammering up the floor just a little and spraying undercoat. problem fixed, and you can never tell.

This is the same thing I had to do. I hear that the problem is worse on the 05's.

Hmmm, no issue here. Everything fit great, like a glove.

Yea, I ended up banging mine in a little too and it doesn't rattle anymore. It all depends, I have had a few people who had it installed and everything was fine. A couple others had to do the same thing I did.

Thanks for the info everyone. I ended up placing a piece of wood as leverage against the underside of my car to push and bend the pipe a little. Didn't even have to take any parts off. Problem solved. lol

The muffler shop that installed mine. Heated the pipe, with 2 torches, till it was glowing red. Then used a pry bar to bend it away for the body, It worked. 5 months later and I haven't had any problems.
