Crawford cats with OEM exhaust?

I was wondering about replacing the factory cats with Crawfords' on an otherwise stock exhaust system. Any performance gain or change in sound?

Yes! If there was only one exhaust mod you were going to do, this would be it. The stock Cats are the most restrictive part of the exhaust system. The sound will change, a little louder, but with no rasp. The tone will stay about the same, only as I said, a little louder.

I have this right now. The whole RPM band is smoother. I'm going to dyno in a week or so. I estimate 8-10 rwhp gain.

I just threw on the Crawford headers and cats last month - HUGE difference esp above 3500 rpms. Sounds a lot meaner at WOT too

has anyone dynoed their headers and hi flow cats on a stock exhaust? wouldn t this be a best bet by itself instead of getting a catback exhaust too? wouldn t you lose alot of tourque cause of the all of the free exhaust running through the catback? how about the chances of running lean withe headers and cats too? alot of ?'s i need to have answered to be on the safe side
thanks guys

apparently high flow cats won't cause you run lean, neither will headers - test pipes will

you seem to only lose power if you get borla headers or if you do an aftermarket y-pipe w/ the stock exhaust.

headers+h-f cats seems okay.

there a really good looking set, look similar to helix and also have the bracket connection like the oem cats so there s no rattle underneath. a lil rasp once you take off after heating up the car but after that it makes the stock exhaust sound deep. i m sorry i can t compare to crawford man cause i never heard them b4 especially on a exhaust.hope this helps bro
