i wouldn't bother with the headers unless you're after every last HP you can from the exhaust... the gains aren't really worth the massive PITA of installing them unless you're trying to push lots of NA hp out of it
Hey thanks bro, im heavily leaning toward the Y-pipe Fujibutso R-Legalis setup.

Sorry for dragging this thread, but one more question. I most likely am going to be going with a Single Turbo kit this spring, which of these exhausts would be compatible?

Thanks again

single turbo is no problem with the Fujitsubo Legalis-R.... single turbos eliminate the cats and Y-pipe though, so the downpipe from the turbocharger will run directly to the spot where the Y-pipe formerly ended

yes believe it or not running a turbo setup will quiet down a car considerably... working or not the turbines block alot of the sound.

i guess you could get a general idea of the sound from his car... i just wanted to warn you that it might not sound exactly the same on your car

it's also worth noting, if you're planning on going with the turbonetics single kit, there have been some people having issues lately with aftermarket exhausts causing the system to run alittle leaner and overboost slightly.... are you planning on running the turbo with the default tune or are you going to get it dyno tuned after installation?

I plan on taking whatever steps necessary to having everything "just right". Thats why I want to make sure I get a really good shop to install it, and deffenitely get my engine tuned.

I think instead of going with an aftermarket exhaust right now, Im going to wait until after I have my turbo installed and see how it works with the stock exhaust.

Hey what do you guys think of this combo? Looks like the hks but its a different company? Think it will sound just as similar, plus its 3in which I would love to go with when I go turbo?

How come it's not good to have the HKS Hi-power exhaust if you plan on going FI?

Single turbo does not work with true dual exhausts.. And I'm not too sure how open the HKS is as of right now (hence why I sold it)

The Megans are pretty nice. They are definately cheaper than buying 2 HKS hi power cans! My buddy has em on his Z.. Looks good and gives the option of custom, which will be almost the same price as some other exhausts..

Have you looked into the N1 or WS? I've been looking at those as a temporary exhaust on my car (I have no exhaust on my car right now lol).. Holding out on a 3" since there's been some TN kit problems on the Z forums.

Why bump a 3 year old thread?
