Best sounding exhausts

Ok, Im trying to decide on which exhaust system to go with. Obviously I would like to get a decent amount of perfromance out of it, but the sound is whats going to sell me. ( I know there is sound clips on some sites but my speakers are broken, and if Microsoft tells me to download one more thing to fix them that does absolutely nothing Im going to punt my computer into high speed traffic ) All Iam looking for is an exhaust that is as close to the stock exhaust sound but some what louder and deeper. The last thing I want my G to sound like is one of those riced out civics with no front bumber and broken tail lights. Thanks in advance for the input

Fujitsubo Legalis-R + Fujitsubo Y-Pipe

Had this on my fiancee's car for almost 2 years, it looks stock and sounds quiet. Gives the G35 a bit deeper exhaust note compared to stock and at idle it is very quiet.

BTW I am sell our setup since we are going FI.

Stillen! I absolutely love it and it's not as loud as everyone says, at least not on the coupe! I have high flow cats and it's loud but not obnoxious. If I want, I can keep it quiet by driving like a grandma! The tone is similar to stock, just deeper and louder.

It's essentially a personal choice. You would be well served, if able to, by attending a few local G meets and personally hearing the different exhaust set ups. I decided on the HKS Hi-Power.

Thanks for the input guys. Its still a tough choice though.

Diesel1, if your around diesel motors at all like your name implys then nothings gonna sound loud to you haha. just kidding man, my last car was a 7.4l turbo diesel F-250.

Ahhh man. Not that kinda diesel, but lately I have been inrtigued by the amount of performance stuff you can do to a diesel motor! To me it seems odd that you can double the HP/TQ of any motor with just bolt on mods. With diesels you can, it's crazy! I have been wanting to make a sound clip of the exhaust, but I just haven't gotten around to it.

Oh my bad man haha. Your right though about the diesels though. You can turn those engines into monsters. I had some problems with my truck and I had to get rid of it, but if I still had it all my mods would have been going into that thing.

One other question guys, lets say I was to go with a Y-pipe, and headers but keep the stock exhaust would'nt that basically keep the stock sound but make it louder?

Believe me it would make my life a lot easier if I could hear them online, but like I said before my speakers are busted Anyway im leaning toward just getting a Y-pipe for the time being, and then picking up the Fujibutso Legalis.

exactly what i did... i got headers, cats, and a Y-pipe... sounded like a stock exhaust on 'roids. but there was definitely a restriction in flow where my 76mm Fujitsubo Y-pipe met the 60mm stock midpipe. i have since added the Legalis-R and couldn't be happier with it. if you need clips when you get your sound working lemme know i have plenty

i wouldn't bother with the headers unless you're after every last HP you can from the exhaust... the gains aren't really worth the massive PITA of installing them unless you're trying to push lots of NA hp out of it

doesn't Kamal34 have a twin turbo setup? if so, the exhaust may sound very different on a NA car with stock headers, cats, etc.
