Exhaust for Z on G35 coupe........?

Ok I read through all the chatter on previous threads about fitting Z exhausts on G coupes but haven't come to a final conclusion. Is it safe to say it could be done with the 6" spacer and perhaps a little customization from the muffler shop with regards to the hanger placement?

Thank you,
Chris

Is there a difference between the G200 exhaust for the 350z and G35 coupe...i found a place where i can get it but its for the 350z. will i need anything else besides the 8in extension for the exhaust?

If you get an extension piece, that will bring the muffler to about the correct position. However, with most (if not all) Z exhausts, the tips will be too short for the G. Likewise, a G35c exhaust will have tips that are too long for the Z, and they'll stick way out past the bumper.

Is there a difference in the exhausts? I have an almost brand new 350Z catback exhaust that I was going to try to sell. I might try to install it if there is a better difference.

The Z cat-back..............

I sold a Stillen cat-back system to a G35 pilot just
a few months ago. I kept in touch just to make sure
the install went as I had told him. All that was needed was the 6" extension. He also mentiond that
the system sounds "Sweet"! Oh yea, a muffler dude
that knows his $hit helps....... Cost should be
in the $100 range, not much more. You shouldn't
have to make any other changes....like tips.

dont buy the extension pipe

just go to a muffler shop and they will add the correct amount of piping to make it fit just right.......and they install on for you......i got it done for $100 because the car is a g35.........it really should be about $70

im in houston by the way so it maybe a little bit cheaper here but it shouldnt be over $140

i did that with my Tanabe exhaust. which is stil for sale DAMMIT! i had an 8 inch extension added on it and it fit pretty well. its the angled tip so you cant tell if they are short or not.

the Invidia G200 is a true dual exhaust..... 2 pipes from the cats all the way to the muffler... you would need 2 extension pipes, and the invida uses a weird piping diameter like 2.25" i think so the off the shelf one that Mynismo sells wont fit. it would definitely be cheaper and easier to get the G version
