RS*R ExMag GTII exhaust

Hey everybody...
I was fortunate enough to be test fitted for a RS*R ExMag GTII exhaust last night. The specific details will follow as to HP and Torque figures, but the tone at low rpms is very deep and louder than stock. The inside portion of the tip which is the silencer can also be removed by taking off a 10mm bold and pulling the inner portion of the tip out. They say it's pretty loud w/o the silencer, so one of these days, I will take 'em out and see how loud they really are. I will try and get sound clips up as well, but for now here are some pictures. Sorry but my car is filthy...

Re: RS*R ExMag GTII exhaust

i love rs-r but those tips look a little funny. try taking them off and see how loud the exhaust really is. generally rs-r exhausts have been known for being quiet.

also rs-r and invidia are not the same company. if anybody buys an invidia exhaust thinking they are buying an rs-r exhaust they are wrong.

I don't like the short and stubby look of the exhaust, maybe if the cannon style was a little longer, but this look very cheesy to me...

Re: RS*R ExMag GTII exhaust

I purchased RS*R exhausts in the past. I've been satisfied with the quality of their piping and welds. They have also been very quiet. I would like to know how loud it gets with the silencers removed too!

I can get that exhaust's copy for cheap. I'm still debating on weather or not I'll put it on my car. I have pics of it on my imagestation album. I'll find the album link when I get home. But the mufflers look exactly like that w/ different silencers though.

That is damn nice I have to say. Are you going to dyno your car to see hp gains or losses?

Re: RS*R ExMag GTII exhaust

yes, I plan on dynoing the car, but need to find out when I'll have time...work has been hectic lately...

Well guys...the noise w/o the silencers is ridiculously loud. I started my car in my g/f's garage and she came down telling me to put them back on because I just shook the whole house...I have to admit at the track it would be fun to have them off as it still sounds rather nice w/o the silencers, much deeper rumble, but for normal street driving, I wouldn't recommend taking them off. When I dyno I will probably dyno w/ and w/o silencers to see the hp difference as well. In the meanwhile I need to pick up my stock exhaust from RS*R to do a stock comparo. I will keep you guys updated.

Re: RS*R ExMag GTII exhaust

i've been told from a friend of mine who had a rs-r exhaust on his 350z that it definitely is too loud without the silencers on, unless like you said, you were on the track.. what you might consider is painting the silencers black for a much more cleaner look..

the one thing about rs-r exhausts is that i'd like to see the dynos.. there have been a lot of products that they've made that actually reduce horsepower.. i'd like to see if this exhaust can do anything for the G..

thanks for the pics!

Re: RS*R ExMag GTII exhaust

rice are things that dont do [censored] and look cheesy. like stickers and big *** wings that dont do [censored] since no one is gonna be going at the speeds they are needed for. if this thing works its not rice. forget how it looks if ur going for performance thats all that matters.

and anythign APC is rice

Re: RS*R ExMag GTII exhaust

I'll ask them about titanium when I'm in there next...Unfortunately I wanted to dyno this weekend but I will be out of town this weekend and next... But I will try and get results ASAP. I, too am very curious about the hp gains on this thing.

Re: RS*R ExMag GTII exhaust

Well no dyno yet
But here are a couple pics without the silencers. It actually sounds really good at high speeds without the silencers and under hard accelleration. At low ends, it's deep and loud and drones a bit under 3000rpms.
