Those of you with aftermarket intake

Do you have the screen cover on your mass air flow sensor? I noticed I don't have the screen cover on my mass air flow senor on my 6mt sedan; however, I did have the screen cover on my 2003.5 auto sedan....is this normal??

I really don't think mine has the screen.
