I've seen enough people buy used engine/tranny/exhaust parts when I had my mustang to see what can, and usually does, go wrong. I'd possibly buy a used exhaust, but never headers, esp. with all the problems that can happen w/ them and you have no clue what, if any, problems, you're inheriting.
I'll pay the extra $100 and have piece of mind knowing my gearing isn't going to disintegrate after 3months.......are you people really that cheap.......we're not talkign about saving thousands, just a few hundred at most buying used.
edit: btw $100 makes or breaks your budget, then that's pretty sad and you shouldn't be modding in the first place. period.

Hell you can buy used ring and pinions that will work just fine if you inspect it and make sure nothing is fugged. But if you pay people to install your parts and don't know then by all means buy everything new if it gives you peace of mind.

but still, I've seen enough of my friends who're relatively mechanically inclined (me, i'm car retarded
) curse and swear up and down and kicking themselves in the *** because they got used parts, all the way from something simple like used pulleys to used forced induction methods.
