Just came back from having my HKS Hi Power Exhaust installed. It seems allot louder then expected. I know the smell will go away but will the exhaust quiet down at all?

 

mm i think mine has gotten a tad quieter since i got it. i have about 150 miles on it. it might just be because i had my back seat down for a while and i put it back up recently.

 

Had mine for a bit. It is louder than what people expect. Can drone sometimes on the highway going 80. Keep it under 3k and you should be fine.

 

Problem is I drive about 60 miles a day highway and usually are well above 80mph

Yar HKS isn't loud compared to many other exhausts.. but people don't realize how loud it does get lol.

 

Dude, you should hear my Injen, especially in the morning time...even Mustang Cobra guys looks at me like damn But, i love the sound...

The exhaust should get louder.
After all the initial burn-off and break-in, it will get louder.

It may seem like it got quieter but it's only because you've gotten used to it.

As time passes and all the filament in the mufflers age and fly out, it'll get louder and louder and louder.

More drone drone drone.
