If anyone is looking for one of these spacers, PM me. I will sell you mine because I am installing a Stillen Stage 2 supercharger this weekend and the spacer needs to come off.

Funny, I clicked on this link, and the instructions are identical to the ones I received with my order last week except that the torque specs are different . My instructions say 50 for the center bolts and 90 for the perimeter. The instructions in your link say 60 and 110???

MD obviously changed the specs at one point. I'd like to know which ones are correct. Either the ones I got last week were outdated or the ones posted on their site are outdated. Anyone?

I've heard of people busting the bolts when TQing them at 100 one guy on the boards is pretty well known and he found that 75-80 was perfect for the outside bolts, the inside i'd go with 50-55.

Cool. Makes me feel better. Maybe the web instructions is the older version.

Also, a post above references re-torquing after a few hundred miles. MD instructions do not reference this. Anyone do this or is it necessary?

I remember reading more than once that people checked their bolts and found some to be loose. Based on others' experience I would say that it wouldn't be a bad idea to check them after a few miles.

It's not necessary but i'd recommend it. It's the same thing when you put on new wheels, you should retorque the lugs after 50-100 miles because the lugs need to seat with the wheel and they can come loose sometimes, same idea with the bolts on the spacer they need to settle.

Hey Guys,

I had my spacer installed last friday at the dealer. This is the first mod ever in any of my cars I purchased. I can tell you, it's the best simple mod investment. Just yesterday I began taking it to higher rpms on 1st,2nd and definetly on 3rd gear. I could feel a slight difference, less stress than before. Enough to be satisfied, considering the cost. Sound a little deeper in tone too and responsive on the pedal.
Down fall is, I had to buy a $65 torqure wrench at sears, due to the minor issues from other members mentioning of the center bolts loosening. But nonetheless, best bang for the buck.

I have a solution....return the torque wrench! Torqueing those small bolts couldn't have gotten it dirty. Just tell them the torque range isn't what you need or something like that....no big deal.

Yeah, I could go that way. But this is the second time I retorqued those bolts, so I'm probably gonna keep it. Hey, if anyone needs to torque their bolts, hit me up. I live in murrieta, CA.

I had to retorque my 6 center bolts 3 times before they stayed at 60 inch-lbs.

Thanks Andy. You picked up on the retorquing I think after I had mentioned it. Now I guess I have to recheck mine the 2nd and perhaps 3rd time.

Yes Deane, thank you for pointing it out. The 6 center bolts are finally torqued down and holding. In another post, Tony has mentioned that one can torque these particular bolts down to 75 inch-lbs. However, since mine are good at 60 inch-lbs., I am going to leave them be.
