I installed the Modtordyne 5/16" spacer last night (no iso just the basic spacer). The install was fairly easy, however, I must admit I did find myself thinking "why in the heck am I taking apart a perfectly good $35k car."

The spacer itself looks to be very high quality. The hardware came in nice labeled ziploc bags. This along with the detailed instructions ensured there were no problems knowing which bolts went where. Below are some pics. The first is the spacer, the second is right before final bolt down, and the last is the plenum after install.

Driving around today, I definitely noticed better acceleration. I really didn't notice a whole lot of difference at WOT. The major difference was noticed at about half throttle. My G has suddenly found a lot more pep in this range and it seems like it can now decide to downshift faster.

One other thing I noticed and can't seem to figure out is that my car is running cooler per my temp gauge. My temp gauge always rested right in the middle up until last night. Today, no matter how hard I drove it, the gauge never got to center. Anyone have any explanation?

Overall I would rate this as a great mod. I wish I would have dynoed before and after but I felt the spacer didn't need the justification due to the fact that many other dynos, the Sport Z article, etc had already proven its worth. In hindsight, however, I wish I knew exactly how much I gained on my car. Get one if you haven't already. Tony@Motordyne was great!

Next up - exhaust.

Would appreciate to borrow the torque wrench from the guy in Murrieta! Has anyone had to retorque the screws more then once or twice? Is it going to be a pain in the future?

Hey no problem man. Just pm me your number and will work something out.
Also, I just did a retorque for the third time, just to make sure nothing is loose. All bolts in the middle stayed the same. I had it at 70in/lbs the second time.
But...For some reason I wanted to see if the outside bolts were fine, I found 4 bolts need 1/4 turns @ 100in/lbs. Maybe the dealer didn't torque them right. But no problem. I might just have to check them all of them a 4th time. I am glad I didn't return the wrench.

Based on one day of driving the car and putting about 75 miles on it, I would have to say there is no material change to the sound of my car. I can tell it is a little different (slightly deeper maybe) but definitely no change in volume.

Yes, quite a few times. This may be another area where the '05s do not get as much sound benefit from mods as the 03-04s, I don't know. I have read on this forum about this same phenomenon with the z-tube, intakes options, and the coupe midpipe.

As I said above, it sounds different (deeper maybe), but for sure not significantly louder. I wish it was, I would have no problems with some volume gain.

Yesterday while driving around it was off, today it is back on. No change in sound either way. Has everyone experienced a significant change in sound?

If you are getting the MREV for your revup engine, don't be jealous of us.

Good luck with the waiting, I know it sucks.
