Thumbs up Installed and Loving it: HKS Exhaust

I drove down to NYC this morning and bought & installed Sean's (thatg) HKS Hi-Power Ti Exhaust and let me tell you ... worth every penny! (even though I didn't spend nearly as much as most of you ) With 150 miles logged on the new system I can tell you that it's exactly what I wanted in an exhaust: nice and quiet during partial throttle and absolutely NUTS at wide-open throttle. The car definitely pulls harder than before also. The butt dyno felt a nice gain! Thanks to mygspot also for the assistence on the install!

Now on to the good stuff:

Pics:

Last but not least. On the way to New York there's an awesome tunnel on the Merrit Parkway that I captured some video for you guys. The first is on the way with my stock exhaust (Just Z-Tube & K&N installed) and the second is on the way home with the HKS on. It's been stated many times before but I'm going to say it again: THE VIDEO DOES NOT DO THE EXHAUST ANY JUSTICE!

1st Video (Z-Tube & K&N Filter):

2nd Video (HKS Exhaust, Z-Tube & K&N Filter):

Enjoy!

Congrats!!

I just installed my HKS today as well and these are FRICKN AWSOME!!!!!!!

Did you have to modify your tips to stick out that far? My tips just come to the arch in the rear bumper and do not slide out as far as yours... I am thinkin about drilling another set of holes about an inch behind the ones currently in the tips to get it to jut out a bit more.

I bought the exhaust used and that's how they looked when I bought it. I haven't had a chance to adjust them at all yet. I actually don't like them sticking out that far so I'm going to push them back a bit today.

YOu want them to come out to where the titanium blue color is just past your bumper. Its the farthest setting out on the pipe

Does it look like they are the farthest out right now?

very

I'm looking at the HKS as well - but I prefer my tip flush with the bumper, not sticking out.

So this thing actually comes with a new H-pipe to replace the y-pipe? Did it change the exhaust note much?

I'm gonna record a bunch of video clips for you guys tomorrow after work. I plan on doing vids from inside WOT with windows up and down, outside standing revs, WOT fly-bys under a bridge, etc It'll be good and very worth the wait!

Yes Sir, everything after the cats is replaced by the system. There is an H-Pipe that replaces the Y-Pipe since it's a true dual exhaust.

Here are the new pics with the tips adjusted totally in. I like it much more this way as they stick out just past the bumper. Nice and Slick! The quality of the pics isn't so good because I didn't get out of the office today until late but I'll get some better pics tomorrow along with the video clips.
