you wont gain any more/less power with any of these intake set-ups. Ive heard the PC/A-tube and i have the weapon R. The weapon R is the loudest/deepest sound. i love it every time i step on the throttle, especially now that i have the MD ISO spacer with it.

I am in the same boat as you but Im getting sent a 3.5 pipe with 2 different filters to test which actually makes gains...the heat soak really doesnt affect the engine while you are driving since there is air moving around from the filter back...

Anyone know the difference between the model that requires a black MAF plug vs the model that requires a gray MAF plug? Thanks.

pop open your hood, look at the plug that plugs into the MAF. If it's black get the black one, if its grey get the grey one. I have on 05 and mine is black. Codeflux has an 03-04 and i believe his is grey. So maybe it's a difference between 03-04 and 05-06.
