I dont see any benefit in polishing the inside. I'd do the outside only. Let me know how it turns out!

I spoke to Tony about this. I will be polishing both upper and more importantly lower intakes. He told me that when he polished the lower plenum it netted him 4 more ponies at the wheels. He also told me it wasn't too much fun, a lot of labor. I have all kinds of polishing equipment at work so it'll be just something to do while the machines run! Just don't tell my boss!!!! Strtsk..... you never heard of P n P (port and polish)?

You will gain some hp and what not if you do inside but you will also run hotter if the outside is polished. With the surface being smoother there are no pits for the air to get trapped in an cool. It's like shaving the vents off you Diff cooler...

If increased performance is your goal, I would tend to lean towards the opposite - a polished interior would smooth out airflow, increasing efficiency. A rougher outside would have greater surface area for thermal dissipation.

Can you get it extrude honed? Just the lower manifold and the bottom portion of the upper manifold. I don't know how much that service would cost, but it would save you a lot of time.

I totally agree with your comment. Polishing the inside has worked well for me.
