Polishing my Plenum

I spoke to Tony about this. I will be polishing both upper and more importantly lower intakes. He told me that when he polished the lower plenum it netted him 4 more ponies at the wheels. He also told me it wasn't too much fun, a lot of labor. I have all kinds of polishing equipment at work so it'll be just something to do while the machines run! Just don't tell my boss!!!!
Strtsk..... you never heard of P n P (port and polish)?

If increased performance is your goal, I would tend to lean towards the opposite - a polished interior would smooth out airflow, increasing efficiency. A rougher outside would have greater surface area for thermal dissipation.

You will gain some hp and what not if you do inside but you will also run hotter if the outside is polished. With the surface being smoother there are no pits for the air to get trapped in an cool. It's like shaving the vents off you Diff cooler...
